IMPORTANT NOTICE: The World Technology Network (WTN) operated from 1997-2021, and was an extraordinary community composed of arguably the most innovative people and organizations on the planet. Since that time, it’s founder, Jim Clark, has devoted his energy to various initiatives (his own - including The Bridge Era Institute (“Employment & Income in the AI Transition”), as well as by augmenting the work of others - often via his Accelerated Impact Process) that each and together focus on some of the greatest challenges and opportunities facing humanity. For more information about the WTN, explore this website. For more information about his work, visit his LinkedIn profile .
“The World Technology Network (WTN), founded in 1997, was perhaps best known for its annual World Technology Awards & World Technology Summits (2000-2020), as well as more focused convenings such as the World Summit on Technological Unemployment (2015) and two World Energy Technologies Summits (2004 and 2010) and the International Congress for the Governance of AI (2018-2021). The WTN was composed of a curated community of the world's most innovative individuals and organizations in science, technology, and related fields. The WTN and its award honorees – those creating the 21st century – were focused on exploring what is imminent, possible, and important in and around emerging technologies. We, together, provided an extraordinary glimpse of our possible futures… just as we tried to nudge things in a more positive direction.”
